What is PM Yasasvi Scholarship Yojana (प्रधानमंत्री यशस्वी छात्रवृति योजना)?
PM Yasasvi Scholarship Yojana also called the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme is for students from classes 9th to 12th. As per the scheme, OBC, EBC, and DNT category students are eligible to receive a sum of up to INR 75,000 – 1,50,000 in form of a scholarship.
The Government of India aims to benefit 85 Lakh (8.5 Million) students in India via this scheme. A scholarship of INR 75,000 will be given to students of classes 9th & 10th. While a scholarship of INR 1,25,000 will be given to students of classes 11th & 12th.
The objective of the scheme is to help those students who are unable to or face difficulties in pursuing their education because of poor financial backgrounds.
PMYS Scheme Eligibility
To get eligible for the PM Yasasvi Scholarship Scheme, a student will be required to clear a qualifying entrance test. The test will be conducted on a computer and students will be selected as per their Merit.
The qualifying test is called the “YASASVI Entrance Test” and is conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA). This year, the test will be conducted on 11th September and the entry forms will be available from the 5th of September.

#2. His/Her family income should be less than INR 2.5 Lakhs per annum.
#3. The applying student should belong to either OBC, EBC, or DNT (who are not covered under SC, ST or OBC) categories.

Step 3: Once you click on the link, you need to register on the platform. Registration ID/Number & Password will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Fill out the application form properly with each and every detail. Upload the necessary documents required.
Step 5: Once you do it, your application form will be analyzed and accepted.
Note that the link is activated only to receive applicants for the scholarship scheme. As per the official timeline laid by the governing authority, the applicants will be able to register for the scheme from the 1st of April every financial year.

How Much Scholarship Will You Get?
The students who are eligible to receive the scholarship are selected on the basis of Merit. Their performance in the qualifying test – YASASVI Entrance Test determines whether the student will receive the scholarship or not.
For students of classes 9th and 10th, the scholarship amount is up to INR 75,000. And for classes 10th and 11th, the scholarship amount is up to INR 1,25,000. The scholarships are paid on a yearly basis.
