Meaning of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
It is a scheme of the central government which was started in 2015 to provide employment to those residents who are less educated or school drop out. There were plans to provide training to one crore youth by the end of 2020.
The government will be providing the certificates after completing the training. The certificate will be valid in every part of India. The registration is done for three months, six months, and one year.
In the first year of this 24 lakh youth will be covered. There were plans to cross this number to more than 40 crores by the end of 2022. Only Industrial training will not be provided in this scheme; the facility of loans will also be provided to the youth.

#1. The main objective of PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana is to provide employment to the unemployed youth living in India.

#3. This scheme is implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
#4. The Modi government has made a massive budget of 12,000 Crore for this employment scheme.
#5. The government started this scheme in 2015 and the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 will be launched soon to make more Indians skilled.
#6. The scheme gives special attention to the youth of North East and Jammu and Kashmir who have dropped out of school after classes X and XII.
